Materiality Matrix What is important and what not?

A materiality analysis is often the starting point for a new or updated sustainability strategy

It identifies sustainability issues which are relevant and material:

a) for the company's stakeholders and
b) the company success.

Issues that have been identified as material for both the company and its stakeholder should obviously be in the focus of the sustainability strategy.

Typical issues are often the challenges from climate change, diversity and human rights issues as well as the integration of sustainailibty issues in products and services.

Furtheron the materiality analysis identifies thoses issues that should be covered by the sustainability communication.
